The Carabao Cup is moving one step closer to the final stages as Premier League teams populate the fourth round table.

Nine teams have already booked their place in the next round. Manchester United caused a sensation with a 7-0 win over Barnsley last week.

Brentford, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Southampton, Tottenham, Preston, Stoke and Sheffield Wednesday are the other teams to have qualified for the next phase of the competition.

But they were forced to wait some time before discovering the identity of their opponents.

Matches have been played sporadically in the Carabao Cup due to Champions League matches being held across the continent in midweek.

Arsenal and Liverpool were two of the teams involved in Europe, with the Gunners held 0-0 by Atalanta while the Reds beat Inter Milan in Italy. Mikel Arteta's men host League One side Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday night, while Liverpool host West Ham.

Chelsea are favourites to overcome the challenge of fourth-tier side Barrow at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, while Manchester City take on Watford. Here's everything you need to know ahead of the Carabao Cup fourth-round draw.

When will the Carabao Cup fourth round draw take place?

The draw for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup will take place on Wednesday, September 25. The ceremony will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and the ball numbers will not be announced until the day of the event.

The draw will take place after the conclusion of the third round tie between Liverpool and West Ham United at Anfield. Given that there is no extra time in the competition, the draw is expected to start around 10pm or later depending on the result on Merseyside.

How to watch the Carabao Cup fourth draw

The draw will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Ultra. Subscribers can follow the match live via the Sky Go app.

If you're not yet a Sky Sports customer, you can purchase a Day Pass with NOW to watch without a subscription.

Dates of the Carabao Cup fourth round matches

The matches will be played during the week beginning October 28, the period reserved for the fourth round matches.

Last year's final saw Liverpool beat Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley, with Virgil van Dijk's extra-time header securing what proved to be their last trophy won under Jurgen Klopp with a young team.

Arne Slot will be hoping to follow in those footsteps by beating West Ham at Anfield in his first domestic cup game in English football.
