Vinicius Junior will make Kylian Mbappe regret joining Real Madrid and winning the Ballon d'Or on Monday is just the beginning.
Mbappe was supposed to be the poster child for the Galacticos' new era and eight goals in his first 13 appearances is nothing to sneeze at.
But he lives in the shadow of Vinicius, who dazzled fans in the Spanish capital and stole the show in the Champions League this week.
Mbappé prefers to play on the left wing, using his blistering pace to open up defenses before shooting with his favored right foot.
Carlo Ancelotti can't displace Vinicius in this form, so Mbappe is benched in the middle of the front three.
If the Frenchman had left Paris Saint-Germain two years ago, while his Brazilian counterpart was still finding his feet, he would have a chance of winning the Ballon d'Or this year.
He would be the star player hoisted on a pedestal.

But he arrived too late and is no longer even among the top two of his dream club, Jude Bellingham having beaten him.
Vinicius will rightly claim a first Golden Ball and while he plays in the same team, Mbappé will struggle to get his hands on it.
