Friday night's transfer deadline is fast approaching and many Premier League clubs are still keeping a close eye on the market. Manchester United are expected to complete a deal for Manuel Ugarte before turning their attention to departures, with Jadon Sancho and Scott McTominay both expected to leave Old Trafford.

Arsenal are also in the process of reducing their squad, and the Emirates Stadium bosses could allow several more departures before the window closes.

Liverpool fans will be delighted to finally see their summer come to life at the last minute. Manchester City are looking for a replacement for Erling Haaland. Tottenham are expected to part ways with one or two fringe players in the coming days. And with Chelsea, anything can happen.

With all this to explore and more, follow Express SportLive transfer updates below…

Latest news from Broja in Ipswich

Armando Broja's move to Ipswich Town has hit a roadblock due to an injury he picked up in training, Express Sport learned.

Scans are expected to reveal the extent of the Chelsea forward's problem later today, with interested clubs keeping a close eye on it.

There is still a chance that Broja's move to Portman Road could be revived if his injury proves to be minor.

The Tractor Boys have agreed a deal with Chelsea that would have seen Broja arrive on a season-long loan, which would have been made permanent for £30million if they avoided relegation.

Everton, Stuttgart and AC Milan have also expressed interest in Broja at various points this summer.

Manchester United's stance on Sterling transfer

Manchester United are reportedly “wary” of approaching Chelsea to sign Raheem Sterling, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils are focusing on deals that will improve their profitability and sustainability.

But Sterling's huge wages could weigh on their wage bill unless a meaningful compromise is reached.

The winger is reportedly keen to join United after being sidelined at Chelsea.

And a place could open up for him if Jadon Sancho heads to Stamford Bridge or Juventus.

It remains to be seen whether United would be willing to take a gamble on the former Liverpool and Manchester City player.

Liverpool sign £43m

Liverpool transfers and London buses have found common ground.

Fans have been waiting nearly the entire window for a new signing, and they look set to get two at once.

Giorgi Mamardashvili is the subject of a £30million deal between Liverpool and Valencia, with the goalkeeper set to return to La Liga on loan once the deal is finalised.

And he could be quickly followed by Federico Chiesa.

The Italian winger has less than a year left on his contract and Juventus are willing to let him leave for a low price.

Chiesa is reportedly open to a transfer after Liverpool enquired about his availability.

Arne Slot could snap up the 26-year-old for just under £13million.

Arsenal medical today

Arsenal player Fabio Vieira is travelling to Porto today for a medical, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Vieira joins his former club on a season-long loan after struggling to get regular game time under Mikel Arteta.

All the paperwork was reportedly signed before the attacking midfielder's camp completed the formalities of his temporary transfer.

Porto will not have an option to buy Vieira at the end of the season under the terms of the deal.

Manchester United make decision on Sancho

Manchester United have decided to prioritise a permanent sale of Jadon Sancho this week, with a loan move including an obligation to buy for their second choice, according to BBC Sport.

United bosses are also determined not to get ripped off if they part ways with the winger who cost them £73million in 2021.

There are reports that Juventus and Chelsea are interested in Sancho, but that could come down to a deal at some point as United hope to get the best deal possible.
