The January transfer window is fast approaching and Premier League clubs are making their final preparations ahead of a busy month of deals. The first half of the 2024-25 season has highlighted the need for many teams to improve their rosters.
Few fans would have predicted Manchester City's underperformance this season. Nor, to a lesser extent, Arsenal. Neither team that has competed for the title in recent seasons looks set to challenge Liverpool and Chelsea at the top without additional reinforcements.
Liverpool themselves could benefit from some additions to strengthen Arne Slot's squad and guarantee the Reds a first league title since 2020. Then there is Manchester United, who appear to need a whole host of new signings to integrate into the Amorim trio. 4-2-1 formation.

Liverpool are reportedly ready to offer £65million for England defender Marc Guehi.
The 24-year-old will begin the final 18 months of his contract at Crystal Palace next month.
Newcastle almost signed the centre-back in the summer, but no deal could be reached.

Man Utd shortlist winger additions
Man Utd have reportedly selected Nuno Mendes and Theo Hernandez in a bid to improve at the winger position.
Ruben Amorim inherited a squad which includes very few natural wingers. January could be the time to prioritize moves for this position.
According to Sky Germany, PSG's Mendes, 22, and AC Milan's Hernandez are being monitored by Old Trafford management.
