Manchester United and Chelsea have both been very active in the summer transfer window, but fans of Liverpool and Manchester City are still waiting for a statement signing. And a number of managers are now faced with finalising deals from abroad, with teams having started their pre-season tours.
Indeed, Arsenal struck an early psychological blow overnight with a 2-1 win over United in America. That game came amid reports that Riccardo Calafiori was flying out from Italy ahead of sealing a move to the Gunners from Bologna.

Luton Town star Tahith Chong is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, report Sky Sports Germany.

The agent of Newcastle target Malick Thiaw has rubbished claims that his client is on the cusp of joining the Magpies.
Reports over the past 24 hours have speculated that an agreement is close to being reached between Newcastle and AC Milan, with the German claimed to have also agreed on personal terms at St James’ Park.
Gordon Stipic, the agent of Thiaw, has now spoken out against those reports, telling Sky Germany: “The current reporting about my client Malick Thiaw in connection with a possible transfer to Newcastle United is FALSE and incorrect. Therefore, I will not comment on any further rumours.”
Chelsea handed swap deal lifeline
Napoli have reportedly opened the door to striking a swap deal with Chelsea involving Victor Osimhen.
Antonio Conte’s side are desperate to secure the signature of Romelu Lukaku this summer and are hoping to strike a deal to secure his signature as soon as possible.
The Serie A side anticipate losing Osimhen despite talks with Paris Saint-Germain being at a standstill.
As a result, Fabrizio Romano reports that Napoli are ‘open to discussing’ a deal which would see Osimhen head to Stamford Bridge in return for Lukaku and a transfer fee.

Liverpool have reportedly rejected a bid from PSV Eindhoven for Sepp van den Berg.

However, his request appears to have fallen on deaf ears.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool ‘immediately rejected’ a bid worth £8.4million from PSV last week.

Atalanta are reportedly working towards hijacking West Ham’s pursuit of Kevin Danso, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Lens defender is attracting plenty of interest this summer and the Hammers are among those to have shortlisted the Austria international as a target.

According to HITC, talks between the Magpies and the Serie A side advanced over the weekend and a package worth £35million, including add-ons, has been discussed for the German.

Manchester United ‘do not plan’ to sign Ivan Toney this summer, reports Sky Sports Germany.

Eriksen is yet to make a decision on his future at Old Trafford but is understood to be keeping his options open at this stage.
Brighton aiming to complete deal today
Brighton are set to sign Inter Miami playmaker Diego Gomez.
That is according to reports in Paraguay, who claim that the midfielder will put pen to paper with the Seagulls today.
An agreement for the Paraguay international has been reached for a fee of £10.8million and Brighton are pushing to conclude the deal as soon as possible.
If all goes to plan for Fabian Hurzeler’s side, Gomez will link up with fellow Paraguay international Julio Enciso at the Amex Stadium.
Nottingham Forest shortlist Ramsdale as a target
Nottingham Forest are reportedly eyeing a loan move for Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale.
According to The Sun, the Gunners are not keen to part ways with the England international if their £50million valuation is not met, prompting Forest to draw up a plan in the hope of acquiring his services on loan.
They hope that Arsenal will be willing to accept a season-long offer for Ramsdale towards the end of the transfer window and believe that paying the 26-year-old’s wages in full will put them in a strong position to secure his signature.
Jorgensen set for Chelsea medical
Filip Jorgensen will have his Chelsea medical tomorrow (Monday) ahead of a £20.7million move from Villarreal, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 22-year-old will sign a long-term deal at Stamford Bridge and be in place for the start of the competitive season under Enzo Maresca.

Everton are set to sign Lyon centre-back Jake O’Brien in a deal worth just under £17million, according to L’Equipe.
O’Brien was a Crystal Palace player as recently as last year and he impressed during his season in Ligue 1.
The towering defender is a full Republic of Ireland international and also received interest from Wolves, Brentford and Nottingham Forest.

“I’m super excited, incredibly proud and can’t wait to get started,” Varane wrote on X.
David de Gea talks collapse
Talks between David de Gea and Genoa have collapsed due to unrealistic salary expectations, according to Sky Sports.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper once picked up £375,000 a week at Old Trafford but he has been without a club for over a year.
And while it looked as though De Gea was about to seal his return to the professional game with Genoa, he is now in limbo once again.

Manchester United have reached a verbal agreement to sign Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich, according to Foot Mercato.
The right-back has already said ‘yes’ to the Red Devils and seems bound for the Premier League.
The only thing holding up the deal is believed to be Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s move from United to West Ham.
