Victor Osimhen and Mateo Retegui feature in today's transfer blog.
The January transfer window is now in its fourth opening day and, although the vast majority of Premier League teams have stood still so far, a flurry of activity is expected shortly.
Manchester United are looking to sign players who better fit Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3 shape, with full-backs and a new striker particularly interesting.
Following Bukayo Saka's injury, Arsenal are set to enter the market for another striker as they look to keep pace with Liverpool at the top of the table.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has admitted the Blues could move quickly in the market this month following long-term injuries to centre-backs Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile.
Liverpool have received approaches from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold, out of contract at the end of the season alongside Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, with succession plans expected to be put in place.
And Tottenham are considering a new goalkeeper in Ange Postecoglou after the Australian squad was decimated by injuries.

Tottenham joins race for Abdukodir Khusanov
Tottenham are reportedly set to face Manchester City for the chance to sign Lens defender Abdukodir Khusanov.
Pep Guardiola's side thought they were in the lead to sign the 20-year-old, but CaughtOffside claims Spurs are entering the race.
Ange Postecoglou is in desperate need of cover in central defense following injuries to Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies this season.
Khusanov is believed to be valued at around £15million, with Newcastle and Wolves also believed to have a stake in the Uzbek international.
Victor Osimhen-Marcus Rashford exchange eyes
Napoli are showing concrete interest in Marcus Rashford and could offer Victor Osimhen in a possible swap deal.
TalkSPORT claims Osimhen, who has been on loan at Galatasaray, can be recalled in January and sent elsewhere.
That could end up being Old Trafford, although Manchester United may have to subsidize Rashford's wages should he move to Napoli.
Arsenal and Aston Villa prepare £45m bids
Arsenal and Aston Villa are both set to launch £45million bids for Atalanta striker Mateo Retegui.
That's according to Italian outlet La Repubblica, who claim the Premier League duo are 'serious' about signing the Italy international.
There is interest that could wait until the summer, however, as Retegui suffered a hamstring injury last month and was sidelined.
Arsenal target Mateo Retegui in action for Atalanta.
Manchester United Medical Kit
Manchester United have reportedly held a medical before officially finalizing the signing of youngster Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno.
The Manchester Evening News claims Leon is due to travel to Manchester in order to take fitness tests and sign on the dotted line.
The Paraguayan prodigy turns 18 in April and is expected to officially join the club this summer.
