Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City can finally bring in the reinforcements they need, with the January transfer window now officially open. The Red Devils are battling it out at 14th in the Premier League table, with the Gunners and Citizens facing a battle to keep their title hopes alive.

United could make a host of their first team players available for transfer after a disappointing first half of the season.

And blockbuster star Marcus Rashford appears to be reaching the end of his career with the Red Devils after being dropped by Ruben Amorim, but his wages could prove a sticking point for his suitors.

Chelsea could plunge into the transfer market after a dismal festive period which saw them pick up just one point from their clashes with Everton, Fulham and Ipswich.

And Premier League leaders Liverpool could also look to strengthen their squad, with Trent Alexander-Arnold now free to strike a deal with a foreign club as his contract expires this summer.

Arsenal have money to spend

Arsenal will not be hampered by financial constraints if they decide to spend money this month, according to the Daily Mail.

The Gunners will have the freedom to spend money to strengthen their squad and are reportedly in the market for a wide player after losing Bukayo Saka to injury for at least two months.

Nico Williams and Leroy Sane are said to be on the north London outfit's radar and they could pounce in the coming weeks.

Liverpool reject Real Madrid approach

Liverpool have turned down an approach for Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to Sky Sports.

The right-back is now free to sign a pre-contract with the La Liga giants as he is out of contract this summer.

There was no formal offer from Real, but an approach was made to the Reds. The Spanish press reported that Alexander-Arnold had already told Liverpool bosses that he wanted to move to the Bernabeu stadium.

Man Utd deal given the green light

Manchester United have been given the green light to complete a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain left-back Nuno Mendes.

The 22-year-old Portugal international is being offered across Europe, according to the Times, paving the way for the Red Devils to table an offer and complete a deal.

Mendes has 18 months remaining on his current contract in France after joining PSG from Sporting in the summer of 2022. But Caught Offside reported that his current employers would consider offers of £58million for the star if they were unable to reach a new agreement with him.
