The cheapest pints in the Premier League are sold by the division's biggest club, a new study reveals. The cost of watching football has been rising steadily over the years, with some fans shelling out thousands of pounds to watch their team home and away.

Drink prices at stadiums have also continued to rise, although one club is the surprising leader when it comes to cheap pints. Manchester United, known as the commercial pioneers of English football, are the club in question, according to a study by Flashscore.

The study claims that Manchester United sell the cheapest pints in the Premier League at just £3.00 each, 50p less than runners-up Ipswich Town. The two clubs are the only teams to sell pints for less than £4.00 at their stadiums on matchdays.

Other clubs, such as Brighton, Wolves and Bournemouth, have set their prices at £4.00, which still represents good value in the current climate. At the other end of the scale, Arsenal and West Ham are cited as the clubs with the most expensive drinks, at £6.30 a pint.

Leicester City will reportedly be offering their pints for £5.80 each, while Chelsea will be offering a slightly lower price of £5.70 per pint. Tottenham fans can buy pints at home games for £5.10 each, while Manchester City and Liverpool charge £4.60 and £4.40 respectively.

The study also suggests that Ipswich are the cheapest Premier League team to follow this season. The Blues would offer the best value for money when taking into account the prices of food and drink at the stadium, adult tickets and season tickets.
