AAfter a surprisingly slow start to the 2024/24 LaLiga season, EA Sports real Madrid were eager to get their campaign back on track when they arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium for their home opener.
Real Valladolid were the visitors, with Ronaldo Nazario present to his former home. Kylian Mbappe earned his first home start as a Real Madrid playeralthough Carlo Ancelotti was without Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham.
Attacking richness will not be a problem for Los Blancos this season, but how the Italian coach manages to find balance on the pitch remains a subject of debate in the stands.
Real Madrid struggled to find balance until the second half
While the Merengues' starting eleven was full of talent, the first half was somewhat laborious for the home side.
Kylian Mbappé received a pass in the penalty area and produced a first-time shot which was cleverly saved by Karl Hein.
Arda Güler had a rare start and was at heart of all Real Madrid They played well, but they just couldn't find the back of the net.
After the break, it didn't take long for the home side to improve. In the 50th minute Federico Valverde fired a powerful shot from a long-range free kick that flew into the bottom corner of the net.
It was a tremendous strike that put real Madrid forward, although almost immediately they lost their concentration and allowed Victor Cavas a chance to shoot on goal, forcing a great save from Thibaut Courtois.
Mbappé was then again refused by Heywith the French striker shooting the keeper from point-blank range.
Real Madrid will double their lead in the 88th minute of the game. Eder Militao slipped a perfect pass into Brahim Diaz, who managed to deflect the ball over the goalkeeper and in the net.
The 3-0 victory was completed in the 96th minute when Endrick curled home a magnificent strike in the corner of the net.
