Oasis star Noel Gallagher has been a Manchester City fan since childhood
Oasis' reunion tour was confirmed in the week before Manchester City's win at West Ham, but Noel Gallagher chose not to celebrate in the chairman's suite with Hammers co-owners Karen Brady and David Sullivan.
Gallagher instead watched City cruise to a 3-1 victory from a different seat inside the London Stadium as Erling Haaland scored his second successive hat-trick to send the Sky Blues into the international break with nine points from a possible nine.
According to The Independent, music legend Gallagher turned down the lucrative offer from West Ham board bosses because he would have had to conform to the business suit dress code.
Gallagher, who has always been an individual, requested a ticket that would allow him to dress as he wished. The 57-year-old certainly picked the right day to make the trip, as City had 23 shots on West Ham's goal, including three for Haaland.
Manager Pep Guardiola is chasing a record fifth consecutive Premier League title this season. The legendary coach's contract expires next summer and he raised alarm bells among City fans when he admitted ahead of the new campaign that the hunger to win another title was not there.
But that has not shown on the pitch, with the Blues comfortably winning all three of their Premier League games so far.

Gallagher and Guardiola have struck up a friendship since the Spaniard arrived in Manchester in 2016. And the Oasis star, who is set to pocket £50million from next year's tour, is unsure about the manager's future.
“I see him from time to time and sometimes when I talk to him I think he's not going anywhere, but sometimes I think maybe he is,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“He's keeping his cards very secret. I just wonder where he's going to go? He's too young to retire and he's too young for international football. He's been to Germany, he's been to Spain and there's no money in Italy. I don't see where he's going to go after City and my gut tells me he's going to stay.”
Guardiola himself has hinted that his contract could be extended for another nine years by next summer. He said in July: “We'll see what happens. But I don't totally rule out extending my contract.”
