Arsenal and Manchester City are set to soon find out if they have won the race for Norwegian prodigy Sverre Nypan.
The 18-year-old Rosenberg midfielder is represented by super agent Rafaela Pimenta and is considering his next steps after holding discussions with several top European clubs.
The final decision of the player and his representatives is now expected to be confirmed to the parties concerned in the coming weeks.
Arsenal and City are considered two of the main contenders for his signature, although there is also strong interest from abroad.
Manchester United are also among Nypan's many admirers, but Norwegian sources have said a move to Old Trafford currently appears unlikely.
The Rosenberg starlet is expected to cost more than £10million. The Scandinavian team has still not received an official offer for the player.
The feeling in Norway is that interested parties will first wait until they have clarity on the player's preferred destination before entering into formal discussions with his club.
