Manchester City dropped more points as Everton earned a draw
Manchester City were held at home by Everton on another hugely frustrating afternoon for the Premier League champions.
It was always going to be tricky for the hosts, who looked lacking in confidence after winning just one game since the start of November.
They opened the scoring early on, with Bernardo Silva pushing the ball over after being found by Jeremy Doku. It was an own goal thanks to a deflection from Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
The equalizer arrived before half-time, with Iliman Ndiaye firing into the net as the visitors took advantage of static defending.
After the break, City had a huge opportunity to regain the lead from the penalty spot, but Erling Haaland's tame effort was easily saved by Jordan Pickford.
Their failure to beat Everton means Pep Guardiola remains under enormous pressure to turn things around, with no end in sight to their current crisis.

Iliman Ndiaye's equalizer saw the Toffees come away from the Etihad with a point
Man City player ratings
Stefan Ortega – 6
Could not have done anything against Ndiaye's goal, the fault falling on his defenders. Helped build attacks from the back with precise passing. Not much else to shout about.
Rico Lewis – 5
Was caught napping during Ndiaye's equalizer, failing to get close enough to prevent a shot on goal. Played fairly well on the ball but needs to work on the defensive side of his game.
Akanji Manual – 5
He made a complete mistake when trying to clear the ball a few seconds before the equalizer. Failed to offer much in possession. It's not his best performance.
Nathan Ake – 6
Was far too static in the build-up to Everton's leveler and should have done more to prevent the cross. Otherwise, it went well without setting the world on fire.
Josko Gvardiol – 5
Rattled the post with a close range header early on. Gave the ball away too many times with sloppy passes. Not great.
Mateo Kovacic – 6
Took Rodri's role and got things going in midfield, but failed to prevent the cross that led to Ndiaye's goal. He almost scored the winner from outside the box, firing a volley wide.

Bernardo Silva – 6
Showed good athleticism to extend his leg and open the scoring, but a deflection meant the goal was an own goal. He missed a golden opportunity to double his score, shooting wide with the outside of his boot.
Phil Foden – 6
He used his range of passing to create chances from deeper positions. He posed a bigger threat in the final third, dictating the pace of his team's attacks, but failed to make a difference.
Savinho – 6
Asked Everton questions with fancy footwork and direct running. Won the penalty and gave Vitaly Mykolenko a hard time, but struggled with the final ball.
Jérémy Doku – 6
Created the first goal with an exquisite pass that took several defenders out of the game. It was otherwise quiet, with City struggling to make the most of all their possession.
Erling Haaland – 4
I wasted two big chances either side of the break before taking a terrible penalty. He looked devoid of confidence and is now scoreless in four successive home games. Not good enough.
Substitutes
Kevin De Bruyne – 6
I worked hard to create chances but couldn't influence the result.
Ilkay Gundogan – 5
He kept up the pace as City pushed for a late winner, to no avail.
Jahmai Simpson-Pusey – 5
He came on in the final minutes and did well in defense.
