Stefan Ortega spent a bad afternoon
The misfortunes continue for Pep Guardiola while its side of Manchester City was hammered 5-1 in Arsenal. Drawing inside two minutes after the poor pass of Manuel Akanji led to a goal for Martin Odegaard, they returned to the level after the break thanks to the head of Erling Haaland.
But from 55 minutes, it was one -way traffic. Thomas Parte's deviated strike did 2-1, before Myles Lewis-Skelly fouls in a third party.
Kai Havertz then added a fourth and in injury time, Ethan Nwaneri ended another heartbreaking day for the champions. And Guardiola cut an angry silhouette in the last -stage stages that his team was maintained to avoid other damage.
Express Sport brings you the evaluations of Man City players during a forgetful day for champions …
Man City Player Ratings VS Arsenal (4-2-3-1)
Stefan Ortega – 3
A nightmare. It was his hesitation with the ball at his feet that started chaos for Odegaard's goal – and his bad pass led to another chance of a golden arsenal that Kai Havertz was wasted. Also an ability for parties of Party, Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri.
Matheus Nunes – 6
I tried to move forward and put balls from the outside, but it is simply not a right back.
Manuel Akanji – 5
Inexplicable error at the start of the one that dropped its 1-0 side. Look out of the heart of the defense.
John Stones – 6
Insured on the ball as always, but failed to get a block for Lewis-Skelly's goal.
Josko Gvardiol – 7
It still seems much more an attacker threat than a reliable defender. Regularly in the future and his head in the first half pulled a superb backup of David Raya, but caught up with Havertz's goal.
Erling Haaland was mocked throughout the 90 minutes
Mateo Kovacic – 5
Did well in the first half to return and thwart an attack but fought for the impact with or without ball. Rodri's shadow is looming.
Bernardo Silva – 7
Even in adversity, the work rate could not be for lack. One of the few players in the city to win ball at the top of the field and if nothing else seemed to create.
Phil Foden – 5
Continue to fall well below the standards he established last season. Too often dispossessed and lacked precision with his last ball.
Omar Marmoush – 6
A harmless first half stroke has derived a path. His sets of sets were impressive, creating Gvardiol's chance. A slow start to life in City.
Savinho – 7
When his final product becomes coherent, will become a player. Exciting with the ball at his feet and his cross deemed expert led to the goal of the Haaland.
It was an evening to forget for the men of Pep Guardiola in northern London
Erling Haaland – 5
A hard note given its powerful header produced the only objective of the city, but its ineffective display in the first half cannot be ignored. Just six keys and never tried to execute the channels despite the small ball that arises. Correment targeted by arsenal fans and players. Stay humble, huh?
Substitutes
Kevin de Bruyne (for Marmoush, 72) – 5
Barely kicked after stopping.
James McATEE (for Foden, 72) – 5
Likewise, little chance of changing the tide.
