Express Sport brings you all the latest news
The return of the Premier League has not disappointed, although clubs still have the final weeks of the summer transfer window to focus on as well as the new campaign.
Arsenal kicked off their title push with a 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday, and Kai Havertz has outlined why his side are no longer in the market for a striker. However, midfield reinforcements are still wanted and talks are underway with Real Sociedad over Mikel Merino.
Brighton, Newcastle and Aston Villa also opened their campaigns with victories.
All eyes will be on Manchester City's clash with Chelsea today. Enzo Maresca's side are set to be one of the busiest teams in the final two weeks of the transfer window, with the Blues already close to completing a deal for Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix.

Chelsea and Newcastle interested in Joe Gomez
Joe Gomez is reportedly considering his future at Liverpool amid interest from elsewhere in the Premier League.
That's according to The Times, who report that the England international is keen to “explore his options” before the transfer window closes, with Chelsea, Aston Villa and Newcastle all keeping a close eye on his situation.
The 27-year-old also has suitors elsewhere in Europe, although it is unclear whether Liverpool would facilitate his departure.

Liverpool eye defensive reinforcements
Liverpool are reportedly interested in bringing Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri to Anfield this summer.
The Reds are reportedly keen on signing a new left-back to provide cover for Andy Robertson and potentially take over from the Scotland international.
Ait-Nouri is among those who have been shortlisted as an option, reports David Lynch.
Liverpool have reportedly already held several talks with Wolves to discuss the possibility of signing the 23-year-old. Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the full-back in the past.
Chelsea close in on Joao Felix deal
Chelsea are close to completing a deal for Atletico Madrid striker Joao Felix, Fabrizio Romano reports.
Negotiations are now said to be at a very advanced stage, with the Blues prepared to pay a fee in the region of £34m-£38m to acquire the Portuguese striker, plus add-ons.
The signing of Felix is expected to speed up Conor Gallagher's move to Atletico.
Man Utd plot to hijack Liverpool target
Manchester United are reportedly considering signing Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Liverpool are working on a deal to sign the Georgia international, with the goalkeeper set to spend at least a season on loan at Bournemouth before succeeding Alisson at Anfield.
The Mirror reports that United are also interested in Mamardashvili, with the 23-year-old also 'open' to a move to Old Trafford.
The goalkeeper recently urged Valencia not to “rule him out” of a move to the Premier League this summer, with his £34million price tag becoming a sticking point in negotiations with Liverpool.
