The 2024/25 Premier League season is underway and Manchester United are set to kick off the campaign at Old Trafford against Fulham. The Red Devils have made significant changes to their squad this summer, although further reinforcements are expected before the window closes.
United are keen to acquire the services of at least one midfielder, with negotiations underway with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for Manuel Ugarte. Chelsea make bold decision over Romelu Lukaku
Chelsea are reportedly willing to lower their asking price for Romelu Lukaku.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, the Blues had previously demanded £36million for the Belgium international – who they signed for £98million in 2021.
Napoli, managed by former Blues boss Antonio Conte, are desperate to acquire the striker's services but have only offered £26million.
Chelsea remain interested in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli and are therefore hopeful that a swap deal can be agreed.
Liverpool receive extra £38m for his transfer
Liverpool have reportedly received a major boost in their pursuit of Sporting star Goncalo Inacio.
The Reds have been scouring the market for a left-back this summer, and a move for former Manchester United target Inacio now appears firmly on the cards.
According to O Jogo, the Reds are set to present an official offer to Sporting for the Portugal international, but they are unwilling to activate his £51million release clause.
They are instead hoping to reach an agreement for a lesser sum. Sporting are said to be open to negotiating a deal in the region of £38m, which would be sweet music to the ears of the highest authorities at Anfield.
Man Utd hoping for Jadon Sancho swap deal
Manchester United are reportedly set to sign PSG star Manuel Ugarte via Jadon Sancho.
According to The Independent, the England international is keen to join PSG this summer and a deal is on the horizon.
Sancho's departure to the Parc des Princes is expected to speed up negotiations for Ugarte, with United expected to propose that the two deals run in parallel.
