Express Sport brings you all the latest news
As the 2024/25 Premier League season gets underway this month, clubs will be looking to accelerate their transfer plans ahead of what promises to be an incredibly competitive season.
Both ends of the table have already strengthened, with Manchester United and Chelsea the most active of the 'Big Six' clubs so far. North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal have also made defensive acquisitions in the market.
Liverpool and Manchester City, on the other hand, are yet to make their move, although Arne Slot's side appear to be preparing for a late spending spree amid rumours that Joe Gomez and Wataru Endo could leave.

West Ham hope to strike cut-price deal with Manchester United
West Ham United are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Manchester United to acquire the services of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
According to The Sun, the Hammers are hoping to secure a £10million move for the United right-back after it became clear he was not in Erik ten Hag's long-term plans.
However, Wan-Bissaka's wage demands could prove problematic in reaching an agreement and discussions are underway to try to resolve the situation.
Chelsea have 'agreement in principle' with Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid have reached an “agreement in principle” with Chelsea for Conor Gallagher, talkSPORT reports.
The La Liga side have agreed a deal worth £33million plus add-ons for the midfielder.
Gallagher has yet to find common ground with Atletico, but it seems he is interested in the project and wants to work under Diego Simeone.
Chelsea had already offered £50million to suitors for their academy product after he rejected a new three-year contract at Stamford Bridge – a proposal he reportedly snubbed for the second time earlier this week.
Tottenham continue to monitor the midfielder's situation, although it remains to be seen whether they attempt to hijack the deal.
Arsenal closing in on midfielder
Arsenal are reportedly close to signing Real Sociedad star Mikel Merino.
According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal “in excess” of £25m is being discussed and talks are ongoing in the hope of reaching an agreement.
Merino has already agreed a personal deal with the Gunners, with the midfielder keen to join the Emirates Stadium outfit ahead of next season.
Mikel Arteta has already strengthened his ranks with the signings of Riccardo Calafiori and David Raya.
