Leny Yoro close to signing for Man Utd
Leny Yoro has reportedly been threatened with a one-year ban from the stands if he does not sign for Manchester United this summer. The 18-year-old is expected to be announced as the Red Devils' new signing after passing his medical on Wednesday.
United managed to convince Yoro to sign despite rival interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain. The Bernabeu was his preferred destination at the start of the summer and he was at Wembley to watch Los Blancos beat Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final in June.
A £52million transfer fee will be paid to Lille and Yoro will be on a hefty salary at Old Trafford, leaving Real licking their wounds after missing out on a player considered a generational talent.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, Lille have pushed Yoro towards United's lucrative offer. Real have not shown any willingness to put the same sum on the table and are said to be eyeing a free transfer in 12 months.
Yoro was reportedly even threatened with a one-year ban if he did not accept United's offer, which should put Lille in a solid financial position. The youngster has already made over 70 appearances in central defence despite only turning 19 in November.
Yoro was a regular in Lille's defence last season, featuring in 44 games in all competitions and scoring three goals.

The Frenchman will arrive at United as a long-term replacement for Raphael Varane, a signing that takes some pressure off Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co, who are also said to be interested in Matthijs De Ligt and Jarrad Branthwaite as potential centre-back options.
United's new sporting department are eager to make an impression this summer and fans haven't had to wait long to see a few incomings and outgoings. Joshua Zirkzee was brought in for £36.5million from Bologna to bolster Erik ten Hag's attacking options.
Omari Forson left the club without a transfer fee, while United were able to secure fees for fringe players Donny van de Beek, Alvaro Fernandez and Willy Kambwala. Varane, Anthony Martial, Shola Shoretire and Brandon Williams were all released when their contracts expired at the end of June.
United have also agreed a £26.7million deal with Marseille for Mason Greenwood as Ten Hag targets an overall improvement in his third season at the helm.
