Jude Bellingham shared a moment with Spanish defender Dani Carvajal
England star Jude Bellingham shared a classy moment with Dani Carvajal after the Euro 2024 final. The midfielder was left heartbroken in Berlin during England's defeat to Spain on Sunday.
The Three Lions continue their quest for glory after Mikel Oyarzabal cancelled out Cole Palmer's late equaliser. Gareth Southgate's side became the first to lose back-to-back Euro finals and frustration briefly got the better of Bellingham.
The Real Madrid midfielder was seen kicking a cooler after the final whistle, while other England players tried to hold back tears. However, Bellingham was more gentle as he reunited with club team-mate Carvajal after Spain collected their winners' medal.
Bellingham was filmed standing in one of the benches next to Carvajal, who was looking after his two children. The Englishman congratulated the right-back and spoke briefly to Carvajal's two young sons before leaving Carvajal to continue enjoying the moment with his family.
The Spanish full-back has been less graceful on the pitch. Midway through the first half, the 32-year-old tripped Bukayo Saka as the winger looked to charge forward. Saka and England captain Harry Kane were among those who protested that he should be shown a yellow card, but Carvajal shrugged it off, rubbing his eyes and signalling that the Three Lions were “crying” at the referee's decision not to book him.
Off the pitch, Bellingham left aside that dig at England and also praised Spain's other stars, including former Real Madrid players Nacho and Joselu. Despite being just 21, this was Bellingham's third tournament as an England player and he backs Southgate to continue leading the team beyond the Euros, but only if he wants to.

Dani Caravajal suggested England players cry after committing a foul
“For me it's down to the manager and the FA's decision,” Bellingham said when asked about the England manager's future. “I've got nothing but respect for Gareth who gave me my debut in the team, made me feel very comfortable.”
“He’s someone who, I think, over the last couple of years as well, our relationship has gone a little bit beyond football, where I feel like I can open up to him a lot and I think that says a lot about the kind of man he is as well.”
“Whatever happens to Gareth, I will always respect him,” he added. “If he stays, I will be even more determined to win something for him because he deserves it. Sometimes the numbers and the statistics, the records don't lie, he's been our most successful manager since 1966. So whatever his decision, he will always have my respect and my love.”
