Gary Neville has always criticized Kai Havertz for his lack of confidence in front of the goal during the impressive 5-1 victory of Arsenal against Manchester City. The Gunners dominated the match at the Emirates, keeping the pressure on Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table with five different players.

Despite Havertz, adding a late goal to the count with a superb strike of the left foot in the furthest corner, Neville was not impressed by the previous performance of the German after having missed a clear opportunity to put Arsenal 2-0 in advance. Havertz was fortunate to double Arsenal's advance after jumping a Manchester City error, but he exploded widely from the box with only Stefan Ortega and an online city defender to beat.

This led Neville to make a severe criticism of four words from the confidence of the former Chelsea player on Sky Sports because he said: “He didn't want it.”

Neville added: “He did not want it for the first time (for Odegaard's goal) and did not want either. Havertz has a crisis of confidence.”

Earlier in the match, Manuel Akanji's mistake allowed Havertz and Martin Odegaard to break through. But instead of trying to score, Havertz went to Odegaard, who marked in the first two minutes.

Despite the criticism from Neville, the superb goal of Havertz put the icing on the cake of the 5-1 victory of Arsenal against Manchester City, and arrested all chance to return from the guest team.

Arteta

While the German scored his third goal in nine games, there is continuous speculation that Mikel Arteta travels the market for a prolific attacker to strengthen the ambitions of the title of Arsenal.

With their eye on Liverpool at the top, Arsenal was linked to Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa, but saw an offer postponed earlier in the window. Asked about the offers of the day of the potential deadline, Arteta played a media threshing while keeping a tight lip position.

He said: “I don't know, my phone left with the transfer window, forbidden to call me, to send me an SMS on all this. I focus that we have the best preparation we can have to Wednesday and it was the only thing that interested me.
