The final round of Premier League matches before the November international break takes place this weekend. A number of clubs are facing injury problems, meaning FPL managers will have to choose their squads wisely before tomorrow's 1:30 p.m. deadline.

Express Sport lends a helping hand with a list of players who might not be available for Gameweek 11…

Cole Palmer

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has admitted Cole Palmer is doubtful for Sunday's blockbuster encounter against Arsenal. The 22-year-old was caught out by a heavy challenge from Lisandro Martinez in last weekend's draw against Manchester United.

The Blues will have to make a late decision on Palmer's fitness, with Maresca saying this week: “We have to wait, we have to see, then we will decide. Yes [it is a risk]. He hasn't trained in recent days, the tackle wasn't normal. I hope he can come back.”

Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz was left bloodied after a clash of heads during Arsenal's defeat to Inter Milan on Wednesday night. He was replaced by Martin Odegaard late in the match and it remains to be seen whether he will be fit to face Chelsea.

The 25-year-old will be a big loss for Arsenal if he is ruled out of the game, having scored seven goals in 15 games in all competitions this season.

Mikel Arteta provided an optimistic update after the final whistle against Inter, saying: “He had a big cut and I hope he is OK for the weekend.”

Christian Romero

Tottenham could be without Cristian Romero against Ipswich after he suffered a knock in last weekend's win over Aston Villa. According to TyC Sports, the defender suffered a toe ligament injury that could keep him out of action for up to 10 days.

Ange Postecoglou kept his cards close to his chest when asked about Romero's fitness after the Villa game. He said: “He felt like his foot was hurting. I have no further information.

“Obviously, he's a pretty tough cookie. For him to make it out, it's got to be painful. But yeah, look, it's not ideal.”

Ebéréchi Eze

Eberechi Eze will stay away from Crystal Palace when they face Fulham on Saturday afternoon. The winger is expected to be out until after the international break with a hamstring injury, meaning the game against Fulham will be too soon for him.

Earlier this month, Palace boss Oliver Glasner said: “It will be very ambitious to get him back after the international break, but I know we have a great medical department and he will work very hard, so let's see. “

Micky van de Ven

Micky van de Ven limped off the pitch in tears after feeling a tight hamstring during Tottenham's recent win over Manchester City. The injury did not turn out to be as serious as initially feared, but it seems unlikely he will be fit to face Ipswich.

The Dutchman could, however, return to action later this month, with Postecoglou explaining ahead of the Villa game: “He injured his hamstring. It's not too serious, but probably after the international break for him.”

John Stones

John Stones missed Manchester City's midweek defeat to Sporting due to a plantar fasciitis injury. It remains to be seen whether he will be fit to face Brighton this weekend or whether the reigning Premier League champions will be forced to do without him.

Pep Guardiola couldn't shed any light on the situation last weekend: “John has fasciitis on his feet and today he wasn't ready. I don't know if he will be back for the next two games.”
