Express Sport rounds up the latest injury news ahead of Gameweek 22
Another exciting stage of Premier League football is fast approaching, with the FA Cup taking center stage this past weekend. A number of big clubs are facing injury problems, meaning FPL managers will have to choose their squads wisely before Saturday's deadline.
Express Sport provides a helping hand with a list of popular picks that might not be available for Gameweek 22…
Cole Palmer
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has revealed Cole Palmer is injury doubt for Monday's game against Wolves. He suffered several knocks during the Blues' midweek draw against Bournemouth and has not trained since.
Speaking at Friday's press conference, Maresca admitted: “Cole is uncertain. The first half [against Bournemouth] They kicked him for not training today.
“We don't know if he will train in the next two days. We are counting on Cole because he is a great player. We prefer to play with Cole but if he gets injured or has a problem, we will find a solution.”
Diogo Jota is a doubt for Liverpool ahead of their match against Brentford
Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland, who signed a remarkable ten-year contract at Manchester City this week, may not be fit enough to play against Ipswich Town on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola did not go into detail when asked about Haaland's availability, but said: 'We will see [if he is ready]. Yesterday was a day off, now we are going to train.
“We'll see because some players have finished [against Brentford] with some problems like every match and we will see.”
Diogo Jota
Arne Slot said on Friday that Diogo Jota would “struggle” to play against Brentford after missing training on Thursday. The striker suffered a knock during Tuesday's match against Nottingham Forest and is yet to fully recover.
“There's no doubt that Jota is an important player for us, but he wasn't in training yesterday, so we have to see today where he is,” Slot explained.
“It's not sure if he'll be available tomorrow. We have to wait and see today. He felt a bit when he arrived. [at Forest]a little gripe during the half hour he came in.”
Luis Diaz
The tricky Liverpool winger is expected to be available for the visit of Brentford even though he did not train on Thursday. It was confirmed on Friday that he missed his match due to illness and has since recovered.
“Yesterday, he didn't have the right [at training] because he had, I think, a little bit of a sore throat,” Slot revealed.
“I assume he will practice with us today. I have yet to hear that, but we expect him to practice with us today.”

Brennan Johnson
Ange Postecoglou has revealed a late call will be made on Brennan Johnson's fitness ahead of Tottenham's trip to Everton.
The Welshman played the second half of the midweek defeat to Arsenal but suffered calf pain and could miss Sunday's game.
“There are still a few who are still suffering from the midweek game that we are waiting for,” Postecoglou said. “Brennan has a little calf problem and Biss [Yves Bissouma] It's a bit painful too, so we're just waiting to hear from them.”
Enzo Fernández
Chelsea could be without Enzo Fernandez this weekend despite the Argentine midfielder finishing his last game against Bournemouth.
He is one of several Blues players who are taking blows, with Maresca explaining: “Enzo was not in the session today, Romeo [Lavia] was not at the session today.
“We have three or four players who are doubtful for Monday's match because in the last match they had some problems. Same situation for Romeo, Enzo and Levi. [Colwill]”.
