Aunrecognizable Kyle Singler shocked the NBA and the basketball world. The old NBA and Real Madrid player, among other teams, posted a enigmatic video on Instagram with an anguished message that did not go unnoticed.
Shirtless and with a light behind him which created a dark atmosphere, Singler says, among other thingsthat he fears for his life and is silenced almost every day. The player immediately got responses from some NBA players such as Kevin Lovewho publicly asked for help for Kyle.
This is what Singler says in his video on Instagram: “I need to make a statement because I feel like my voice is being silenced. Every day I get shit thrown my way. I was mistreated and abused. My community is fucked. I was made a mental example of and I'm afraid for my life. Every day I look the other way as someone who can be a problem and make things difficult for people, when I'm just trying to be helpful. I feel like there's a reason not to value or respect me“.
Kevin Love was quick to respond to the former player, who retired in 2019 after a spell at Tenerife, with another message on social media: “I love you Kyle. Contact me when you can“, before writing: “To everyone who spent time with Kyle Singler and whose life he touched: shower him with the love and support he needs and deserves.”
