LIonel Messi has been omitted from the list of nominees to win this year's Ballon d'Or, which recognises the world's best football player.
The eight-time winner was not named Wednesday in the list of 30 players in the running for this year's award, which will be presented on October 28.
Vinicius Junior, Rodri, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane are among the names nominated.
Five-time winner Cristiano Ronaldo was also left out.
Messi won the award last year.
