Zinedine Zidane's son hung up his boots before the age of 30.
Zinedine Zidane's son hung up his boots at the age of 29, despite boasting a 100% goal success rate for his father's former team, Real Madrid.
Enzo Zidane has reportedly ended his playing career after spending the last year as a free agent.
Zidane Jnr. last wore the shirt of Spanish side CF Fuenlabrada, making 29 appearances, scoring one goal and registering four assists during the 2022/23 season.
But despite his good performances, the son of World Cup winner Zidane has failed to agree terms with a new club and is therefore retiring from the sport, according to Spanish outlet AS.
The report claims that Enzo grew tired of waiting for a suitable club to come along and instead decided to focus on his family.
Enzo spent 10 years in Real Madrid's youth team, but only managed one first-team appearance for Los Blancos.
It came in a Copa del Rey match against Cultural Leonesa, with Zidane finding the back of the net in the 6-1 win at the Santiago Bernabeu.
This of course means that Zidane has a 100% scoring success rate for the Spanish giants.

Enzo Zidane scored his only goal for Real Madrid against Cultural Leonesa in 2016.
However, Zidane has spoken about his past in his father's shadow before. In 2018, the midfielder told Marca: “I've had it since I was little, and it's always going to be like that. It's not going to change, but I'm trying to get away from it and focus on being the best Enzo I can be.”
βPeople compare you, criticize you, want more from you and say you're there because you're someone's son.
“Others will be criticized for other things, but I try not to think about it.
“The most important thing is that my family is proud of me. I just think about growing up as Enzo and nothing else.”
