Manchester City will not have to wait much longer to learn their fate after 115 alleged breaches of Premier League rules, with the hearing set to begin next month. It is likely to start earlier than expected due to another legal case brought by City against the Premier League's associated party transactions (APT) rules.

The outcome of the case against APT rules is expected to be known within the next two weeks, according to the Times.

And some believe City have achieved some success ahead of the major independent commission, which will take at least a few months to complete.

The Premier League champions could be sent off if the most serious charges against them are proven at the hearing.

The result is expected to be known in early 2025, unless further legal delays prevent a planned start date of mid to late September.

The report adds that the process is expected to last 10 weeks before the commission members announce their much-anticipated verdict.

The city has consistently denied any wrongdoing, saying it has “irrefutable evidence” to prove his innocence.

Lord Pannick KC was appointed to lead the club's defence against the 115 charges, which eclipsed their recent continued dominance under Pep Guardiola.

The Citizens have been accused of breaching Premier League profit and sustainability rules seven times between 2015 and 2018.

They also allegedly failed to comply with their obligations under UEFA rules, including financial fair play, on five occasions between 2013 and 2018.

City also face 35 charges of failing to cooperate with Premier League investigations from December 2018 to February 2023.
