Erling Haaland is apparently ready to move to England after reportedly investing in a six-bedroom mansion in Cheshire.

Manchester City striker Haaland has long been linked with Real Madrid. And speculation over his future has only intensified since City's dramatic collapse, which left them battling for a Champions League place.

Haaland's contract is believed to include a release clause, which has left City fans angry. But his latest move will give him confidence that he is considering his long-term future with the Blues, as The Sun claims he has swapped his rented Manchester city center flat for a sprawling new home near the top home of Alderley Edge footballers.

Jack Grealish did the same thing once he moved up north. He and Haaland were neighbors in their apartment building before Grealish splashed out £5.6million on a Cheshire home in 2023. Haaland's new place would be just 10 minutes away.

The 24-year-old City frontman recently became a father. He and his long-term partner, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, were reportedly spotted viewing houses in October last year.

The young Haaland family putting down roots in the northwest would be great news for City and their manager Pep Guardiola. The Norwegian has won the Premier League Golden Boot in his two full seasons since signing from Borussia Dortmund, and he is in the mix again this campaign despite City's struggles.

The reigning champions sold Julian Alvarez this summer, leaving Haaland as the only striker in Guardiola's ranks. It remains to be seen whether they will enter the competition before the end of the month given the workload placed on Haaland in the Premier League and cup.

It was reported in November that City were in talks with Haaland's camp over a contract extension worth £500,000-a-week, which would make him the highest-paid player in the division.

The deal would also involve tying Haaland's future to the Etihad Stadium until 2029. But whether or not to include a release clause remains a sticking point, with City looking to get rid of him or at least increase in light of his exploits in the Premier League.

Haaland has been a revelation since breaking into senior football with Bryne, Molde and RB Salzburg. Further goals followed at Borussia Dortmund, City and the Norwegian national team, taking his dizzying career tally to 304 in 364 matches.
