Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold could potentially earn over £100million if he joins Real Madrid. The Liverpool right-back is currently in the middle of a bidding war between two European powerhouses.

With Alexander-Arnold's contract ending and just six months until he leaves on a free transfer, Real Madrid saw an opportunity. Although their £20 million bid was rejected this month, they hope to secure a pre-contract agreement.

However, Liverpool are still hoping that their academy graduate will decide to sign a new deal. For now, he has not indicated whether he wants to stay or leave.

Real Madrid are ready to offer a substantial financial package to lure Alexander-Arnold to Spain. They are prepared to significantly increase his current weekly salary of £180,000, potentially reaching up to £400,000 a week.

The real bargain, however, would be the registration fees. When Kylian Mbappe moved from PSG to Real Madrid last summer, he agreed to an entry fee of £128m, payable over his five-year contract, on top of an annual salary of £12.8m. million pounds sterling.

Alexander-Arnold is unlikely to match Kylian Mbappe's £192million package, but a move to Spain would make him one of the highest-paid players in the world. Liverpool's rejected £20million offer could become his signing fee, a substantial welcome gift from the European champions.

Jamie Carragher, who has expressed concerns over the risks of Alexander-Arnold's departure from Liverpool, believes the player's team encouraged Real Madrid's attempt in January to 'cover themselves' for a possible free transfer.

Carragher said on social media: “The most important thing for @LFC in 2025 is to win the #PremierLeague. No contract or future should stand in the way of that! I love Trent as a boy and a player, but his team would have done it.” He told Real Madrid to make an offer and he would also have known LFC would refuse. This is to try to cover himself when he leaves for free. Again, this is something the club and fans don't need with a huge game coming up.

Liverpool have no plans to sell Alexander-Arnold this month, preferring to keep him for the rest of the season, even if it means losing him for free this summer.

With several honors still within reach, Alexander-Arnold's value to the team exceeds the potential transfer fee.
