Real Madrid reportedly want Man Utd star Diogo Dalot
Manchester United have reportedly received contacts from Real Madrid regarding a possible transfer of Diogo Dalot. The La Liga side are claimed to value the Portuguese star at £41million in a potential surprise move.
According to Spanish publication Relevo, Real are keen on Dalot despite their interest in Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold.
United could use all the talks with Los Blancos to their advantage as they look to improve Ruben Amorim's squad. There are several players in Real's squad who would be good additions to Old Trafford if Carlo Ancellotti completes a swap deal. Express Sport is studying five possible arrivals.
Arda Guler
With so much competition for places in Real's attack, exciting teenager Guler can hardly get a look in. Euro 2024 viewers will know the Turkish star's excellent performances at the tournament, and he is capable of repeating them consistently for a top club.
United's left-foot attacking depth is hardly exceptional. Guler would be a perfect fit for the No.10 position on the right side in Amorim's 3-4-2-1 formation.
Ferland Mendy
He wouldn't solve all of United's problems, but Mendy would be a very suitable signing to rival Luke Shaw. The experienced star has played an important role in Real's success since arriving from Lyon in 2019.
Not being the most attacking left-back, the 29-year-old would still add good depth to a team lacking left-footed options. United could then take their time to recruit a long-term full-back.
Andrei Lunin
Amorim continued Erik ten Hag's theme of using Andre Onana against No.2 Altay Bayindir in cup competitions, suggesting United need stronger competition in goal. Lunin filled in perfectly for Real and could do the same at United.
Thibaut Courtois is Real's first-choice goalkeeper, and Lunin could look elsewhere. The Ukrainian could even fancy his chances of beating Onana into the top spot at United.
Brahim Diaz would be a great signing for Man Utd

Brahim Diaz
A return to Manchester would be a great move for Diaz. The former Man City star has made just three starts this season and has played just 307 minutes in La Liga.
Both No.10 positions need attention and Diaz would be a suitable addition to Amorim's squad. The 25-year-old is close to reaching the peak of his career and needs more game time, which he could get at Old Trafford.
Fran Garcia
Garcia would make an excellent replacement at left back. The 25-year-old has strong ball retention skills and is improving defensively. However, United should probably consider stronger options.
