Mikel Arteta reportedly plotting raid on Real Madrid before January window
Arsenal are reportedly evaluating the possibility of loaning two Real Madrid wonderkids in January. The north Londoners are likely to be active in the winter market after falling nine points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race.
Mikel Arteta may need further reinforcements to give Arsenal the best chance of closing the gap before the end of the season. They could look to raid Real Madrid for two of their brightest young talents, according to The Independent.
Arsenal are said to be keen admirers of Endrick and Arda Guler, who have struggled to get regular minutes at the Bernabeu this season. Both players are said to be frustrated due to their lack of playing time, with Guler considered particularly restless.
Endrick and Arda Guler could be loaned by Real Madrid
The report adds that Real Madrid would consider allowing loans for Endrick and Guler when the market reopens in January. Permanent agreements with buyout clauses could also be among the options proposed.
Arsenal are reportedly one of several clubs 'looking into' the possibility of signing one or both players. However, it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will be successful if they decide to confirm their reported interest.
Relevo recently claimed that key board members, including club president Florentino Perez, were growing increasingly frustrated with Carlo Ancelotti due to the lack of minutes given to Endrick and Guler.
Earlier this month, Ancelotti was asked why the duo were overlooked and said: “[Endrick is] ready to play, doing very well, showing a lot of quality in training. I say the same thing about Guler. These are young people who are growing.

“The collective idea is to turn the situation around as quickly as possible. Can you do that with them? Yes, but the goal is to turn the situation around. That's the priority, not giving minutes to a player or to another.”
Endrick joined Real Madrid this summer after becoming Brazil's most exciting prospect during his time at Palmeiras. He is yet to make a single league start for Los Blancos, with the majority of his minutes coming in the Champions League.
Guler, meanwhile, has started four La Liga matches and picked up his first assist for Real Madrid in their win over Leganes last weekend, courtesy of Federico Valverde's free kick from the edge of the box .
